Michael C. Hall is about to make a major leap from serial killer to … serial womanizer?

The seven-time Emmy nominee has joined the cast of the Netflix period drama The Crown as none other than President John F. Kennedy. Set to appear at his side, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is Jodi Balfour, a character actress who most recently appeared in the Cinemax series Quarry, as Jackie Kennedy.

Season 2 is in production, and will usher in the 1960s after Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fight an illegal war in Egypt. It ends with the downfall of her third prime minister, Harold Macmillan, after a scandal.

Hall earned nearly all his Emmy nominations for the hit Showtime series Dexter, where he played a serial killer with an ethical code. His other Emmy nod came in 2002 for his first breakout hit, HBO’s Six Feet Under.

Since Dexter ended in 2013, Hall has focused primarily on voice work for projects like Justice League and Star vs. The Forces of Evil. He is set to appear in the Deepthroat bio-pic Felt, which focuses on Mark Felt, the man who single-handedly brought down the Richard Nixon presidency.
