Christopher Nolan has begun work on his latest project, looking to go to space after spending three movies with the Caped Crusader.
Called "Interstellar," the film is a joint production between Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures in which Paramount will distribute the film domestically, and Warner Bros. internationally.
It's set for a Nov. 7, 2014, release.
Directed and co-written by Nolan, the production will travel around the globe, beginning in Alberta, Canada. It will use a mixture of 35mm anamorphic and IMAX film photography to bring to life an idea that combined an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan. It chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers that make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
The project was originally developed for Paramount and producer Lynda Obst. She is the executive producer of TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland," but also worked on the 1997 interstellar film "Contact" with Jodie Foster.
The cast for "Interstellar" includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothee Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn and, of course, Michael Caine.
