On Friday, fans interested in owning a piece of "The Hunger Games" will have a chance to get their first look at original costumes from the film worn by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Stanley Tucci, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks.
They are all part of a costumes exhibition and auction put together by Haxbee Inc. in Los Angeles which is part of a limited national tour beginning at The Hollywood Show in Los Angeles this weekend.
Among the other costumes included are those worn by Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Donald Sutherland and Wes Bentley.
The first stop for the costumes is The Hollywood Show, a movie and television memorabilia show that takes place at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel. That will be followed by a trip in early March to the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle before heading to C2E2 in Chicago on April 11. The exhibition tour will wrap up at New York Comic Con in October.
That last showing will take place just before the sequel to 2012's film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," is released to theaters Nov. 22. Haxbee says it will add other exhibition dates in the future, all leading up to New York Comic Con, where the costumes will actually be auctioned by ReedPOP along with more than 200 other costumes.
From there, bidders will be able to take part in-person, by telephone, absentee and even on the Internet through iCollector.
The original "Hunger Games" film earned more than $673 million at the worldwide box office against a $78 million budget. The film series is based on the popular young adult book series by Suzanne Collins.
