It's not known exactly what Chris Pine gave up, but at least one thing is certain: His work as a defendant in a lawsuit from his former managing company is now over.

SDB Partners, which represented the "Star Trek" star from 2002 until last year, had claimed that they were owed millions of dollars from commission including projects like "Star Trek," "Unstoppable" and "This is War."

"Through this lawsuit, SDB seeks to not only recover its commissions on millions of dollars that Pine has already earned, but also the millions of dollars that Pine will continue to earn as a result of SDB's prior hard work and dedication to Pine's career," according to the lawsuit that Airlock Alpha first reported in February.

SDB claimed in the lawsuit that it was fired last November by email, instead of through a face-to-face meeting or at least a phone call.

In the settlement, which will likely be left confidential, neither side claimed victory or conceded defeat. It's unclear how much money, if any, Pine paid to SDB, and if he made a commitment to share any other funds with the managing company.

The lawsuit revealed that Pine was to receive $2 million for "Star Trek 2" and $3.5 million for "Star Trek 3." He's also said to be getting around $16 million for his involvement in the new upcoming Jack Ryan movies that are in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Pine's films have grossed more than a half billion dollars since 2009.

SDB Partners is a Los Angeles-based talent agency run by Susie Schwarz, Ro Diamond and Louis Bershad. Its clients include Paul Blackthorne (formerly of "The Dresden Files"), Sean Maher ("Firefly"), Linda Park ("Star Trek: Enterprise") and Star Trek's very own Q, John de Lancie.
