From ditzy high school diva to an L.A. mainstay helping a vampire, Charisma Carpenter has been a part of being Cordelia to life on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and later its spinoff, "Angel." But has Carpenter's time on the shows ended?
E! Online columnist Watch with Wanda reported that Fox Studios continues to debate whether to bring Carpenter back to the show.
"Last week, a WB source told me it had not been decided yet whether Charisma Caprneter would return to 'Angel,' as she has been struggling with a personal problem that affected production this season," Wanda said. "Charisma was allegedly told to take a month off to take care of it, and if she didn't, she'd be out."
After her character was absent for several episodes last season, Carpenter did return in time for her character to ascend to another plane of existence in the season finale. However, Carpenter's agent said that she will be back on The WB this fall.
"Charisma is coming back next season," the agent said. "We received her pickup orders today. Maybe they'r confusing her with ['Witchblade' star] Yancy Butler."
Production of the TNT series was halted when Butler had to enter alcohol rehab late last month.
