Syfy Ready To Renew 'Warehouse 13,' 'Alphas'

One is obvious, the other a pleasant surprise for the cable channel

"Warehouse 13" is going to come back for a fourth season, and that shouldn't be too shocking to fans and anyone who keeps up with Syfy.

The series, starring Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek and Allison Scagliotti, continues to dominate ratings for Syfy, this time taking over Monday nights, where it's drawing around 1 million viewers ages 25 to 54 -- a key advertising demographic.

Deadline.com reported the news Tuesday, which means production would start in early 2012 in Toronto. It's expected that McClintock, Kelly, Rubinek and Scagliotti will return, but not recurring guest star Jaime Murray, whose character of H.G. Wells could be heading to her own series by 2012.

Rumblings also are afoot around Airlock Alpha that Syfy will give a second season order to "Alphas," which might not be performing as well as "Warehouse 13's" lead out, but still retains much of the show's audience going into 10 p.m. In fact, it's more of a 95 percent audience retention hour-after-hour, meaning fans of Syfy's "grounded" series like "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka" are quite interested in the superhuman sleuths that make up "Alphas."

Syfy has not confirmed either story, so they should be treated as any rumor would -- meaning some or all of this could change or not even be fully accurate.

"Warehouse 13" remains one of Syfy's most consistently performing scripted shows, joined only by "Eureka" in that department. "Eureka" receives longer seasons, and a decision on whether it will return will come later in the year, although renewal is also expected.

"Eureka" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Syfy, followed by "Warehouse 13" at 9 p.m. and "Alphas" at 10 p.m.

"Warehouse 13" stars Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly share why the chemistry is so amazing between the two of them in this exclusive video from Airlock Alpha from San Diego Comic-Con.
