Casting is underway for the new Stephen King series "Haven," and a star has been chosen.

Emily Rose, who had a recurring role in the cult CBS series "Jericho," will play FBI agent Audrey Parker, who is tasked to investigate a murder in Haven, Maine, only to find herself entangled in the supernatural activity that takes place there, according to Variety.

Rose played Trish Merritt on "Jericho" for five episodes, including "Condor" and "Termination For Cause." She also had recurring roles in series such as "Brothers & Sisters" on ABC, "John From Cincinnati," and "ER."

Syfy announced it was producing the series last November, which will mark the first project planned to be made available around the world. The 13 episodes are based on the King novella "The Colorado Kid," and is set to go in production in the spring.

"'Heaven' is the quintessential Stephen King town, full of complex, yet identifiable, characters, and compelling supernatural situation," Syfy programming head Mark Stern said back in November.

Scott Shepherd is the showrunner. He was supervising producer for the NBC series "Quantum Leap" and was involved in shows such as "Tru Calling" and "The Dead Zone," another project based on a King story. His team actually includes some of his "Dead Zone" co-workers including Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller.

It's being produced by E1 Entertainment, in partnership with Universal Networks International.

No launch date for the series, or a pilot, has been set.
