Joss Whedon was excited about the fact that "Dollhouse" was renewed by Fox, but the movie was such a surprise, Whedon said he already had made plans for the summer.

We're not sure if he was joking or not, but we're sure that he would've preferred to be writing "Dollhouse" episodes than wherever he would've ended up otherwise.

Whedon shares some of the changes fans will see on "Dollhouse" in the second season, what's coming up for the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" comics, what he thinks about a new "Buffy" movie being planned without him, and a show he said he'd rather see survive than "Dollhouse."

Also, find out what Fox series Whedon stood in line with the rest of fandom to see. You might be surprised with the answer.

Check out my exclusive interview with Whedon on the red carpet of the Syfy/Entertainment Weekly party at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend.
