Who says the Harry Potter films are just for people like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint?

Warner Bros. has spent the past few weeks offering fans a chance to become one of the moving pictures in one of the two final Harry Potter installments. The only bad part: You have to be over 18.

That's not exactly reaching the original demographic of children under 12 when J.K. Rowling published her first book, Matthew Lewis, the actor who portrays Neville Longbottom in the film series, told BBC.

"Obviously we started off as primarily a kids' film, and it's a shame that it's over 18s," Lewis said. "But we've got a massive demographic now."

Lewis joined co-star Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, to launch 1,000 black balloons from the Millennium Bridge, which had a cameo in the most recent film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Each balloon had a ticket attached to it with a code. A code will be drawn, and the winner will have a chance to be a part of one of the final Harry Potter films.

"The winner will be able to see all the stuff behind the scenes," Lewis said. "People always assume the bigger sets are all computer-generated, but a lot of them are actually there." -- [BBC]

Harry Potter entrepreneur dies: One person who probably would've loved a role in the next film sadly will never get that chance.

Toby Rundle, who made the news pages around England for selling off a rare first edition of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" for $11,700 to help pay for his college, was found dead in his dorm room.

It's not clear how the 21-year-old died, but he was discovered by a fellow student at Oxford University last week. Oxford told BBC that it was "deeply saddened" by his death.

Rundle got his copy -- one of just 500 published by Bloomsbury in 1997 -- from his mother when he was in boarding school. -- [BBC]

'Stargate: Atlantis' attacker heads to jail: If this had happened to the actor's alter-ego of Ronon, there might have been some ass-kicking.

But because it happened to "Stargate: Atlantis" actor Jason Momoa instead, it's prison time.

Dominic Bando was sentenced to five years in prison last week by a Los Angeles judge for hitting Momoa in the face with a beer glass at a L.A. bar.

Momoa had to get 140 stitches in his face as a result of the bar fight last year.

Bando was charged, and pleaded no contest, to assault with a deadly weapon. -- [UPI]

The whole world will 'FlashForward': Chalk up "FlashForward" not only as a domestic curiosity, but an international hit for ABC Studios.

The drama, created by David S. Goyer from "The Dark Knight" fame as well as "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek: Enterprise" co-creator Brannon Braga based on the Robert Sawyer novel will now air in 100 territories after adding nine more last week.

The effort by ABC is to try and have the show aired as close to its American schedule as possible, likely to help minimize piracy and the like, which is very common for American shows outside the United States.

The latest channels include TF1 in France, ProSieben in Germany, TV4 in Sweden, Channel One in Russia -- a country where the title was actually changed to "Vspomni Chto Budet," or literally, "Remembering, What It Will Be."

John Barrowman is 'cured'!: We guess having a husband just isn't enough for "Torchwood" star John Barrowman.

The actor says he's looking for a wife. OK, not a real wife, but one on ABC's hit series "Desperate Housewives."

"I'd like a fling with Bree, to get her a little messed up," Barrowman told The Sunday Mail in the United Kingdom. "She's my favorite. The other ones are too stable."

Barrowman may get his chance to do just that. "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry says he's promised Barrowman at least some role in the series, which airs Sundays on ABC. -- [California Chronicle]

New Buck Rogers found?: Speaking of being a little bit gay, our friends over at the gay sci-fi fan site DoorQ shared a scene from the new fan-produced series "Buck Rogers in the 24th Century."

Trying to give Gil Gerard a run for his money, the new actor playing in the James Cawley-produced Web series is a little, well, chiseled?

The Web series is being pout together by the same team that did "Star Trek: New Voyages" and "Star Trek: Phase II," and is set to premiere in 2010.

How sweet of Syfy!: We all know that Halloween comes a desire to have lots and lots of candy. But for Syfy, it means teaming up with one of the world's most famous chocolate makers of all.

No, we ain't talking about Willy Wonka. Syfy signed a deal with Hershey that will allow some of the candymakers products to show up in Syfy series, including "Warehouse 13."

It all starts with the "31 Days of Halloween" that will include Hershey's milk chocolate bar, Twizzlers, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Kit Kat wafer bars.

'Battlestar Galactica' comes to Blu-ray this January: Feel like your Blu-ray player isn't getting enough attention?

Well, get it warmed up, because "Battlestar Galactica: Season 1" is coming to Blu-ray just after Christmas. Jan. 5 to be exact.

The four-disc set will include all 13 episodes of the first season, as well as the four-hour miniseries. It's set to sell for under $90.

What extras will be included? We don't know yet, but it's likely it will include some of the same features found in the "Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series" set, according to High Def Digest.

'Fringe' creators want to go to Hawaii: One would think these guys have enough on their plate between sequels to "Star Trek" and "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen," and their struggling Fox series "Fringe."

But Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci is going where no writers have gone before (at least not in this century): "Hawaii Five-0."

The two will work with Peter Lenkov to produce a reboot of the classic series for CBS. While Kurtzman and Orci will be involved, it is really Lenkov running the show, writing the pilot script, and scheduled to act as the showrunner if "Hawaii Five-O" is picked up as a series.

Kevin Murphy signs on to 'Caprica': Jane Espenson is getting some welcome help from a drama veteran who will hopefully help continuing molding the "Battlestar Galactica" prequel series "Caprica" into a hit.

Kevin Muprhy of "Desperate Housewives" fame has been hired as a co-executive producer for the Syfy series, taking on a project that he has been looking forward to for some time, apparently.

"As a rabid 'Battlestar Galactica' fan, it's hard not to go in that writers room and not just grin ridiculously," Murphy told Variety. "These are the people who made the best TV show ever. To be able to be a part of the legacy of that show, I'd be willing to pay them for that."

It seems that Syfy is still insisting on paying him to come aboard. But there is no word yet on whether or not John Barrowman will also get a role on "Caprica" as well.

You know, the "Desperate Housewives" connection? Oh, forget it. -- [Variety]

'Doctor Who' passing: Barry Letts, who has had an association with "Doctor Who" dating back to the 1960s, has died. He as 84.

Letts first worked on "Doctor Who" in 1967 when he directed a six-part episode featuring Patrick Troughton. In 1969, he teamed up with Terrence Dicks that helped propel "Doctor Who" from an average series people paid attention to, to a nationwide icon. -- [SciFi Pulse]
