Emmy-nominated actor Giancarlo Esposito hasn’t been seen since Season 1 when his character of Sidney Glass took the fall for the murder of one of the characters — but apparently he’s coming back to Season 3 of “Once Upon a Time.”
Esposito, who has been spending his time recently on NBC’s “Revolution” as Tom Neville, will return for at least one episode as one of the characters he portrayed on ABC’s “Once.” That includes not only Storybrooke newspaper editor Glass, but also the Magic Mirror or the Genie of Agrabah, according to TV Line.
The actor, who was nominated for his role of Gus Fring in AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” appeared in eight episodes of “Once” between 2011 and 2012, with his last appearance in “The Return.” In that episode, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) was accused of murdering Kathryn Nolan, the Storybrooke wife of her Enchanted Forest husband Prince Charming, played by Anastasia Griffith and Josh Dallas respectively.
White had been accused by Regina, played by Lana Parrilla, of the murder. But once that case fell apart, she forced Esposito’s character of Glass to take the fall.
Besides “Revolution,” Esposito has remained busy, also appearing on “Community,” “Alex Cross,” and the upcoming Greg Francis thriller “Poker Night.”
“Once Upon a Time” returns for its third season in the fall on ABC.
