‘Warehouse 13’ Star Joins ‘No Ordinary Family’

Joanne Kelly will make a guest appearance in ABC super series

There’s nothing ordinary about working in “Warehouse 13,” and actress Joanne Kelly is sticking with the unknown by taking on no ordinary guest role in ABC’s “No Ordinary Family.”

Kelly, who plays Myka Bering on the Syfy series, will appear in the episode “No Ordinary Detention,” which is expected to be the third episode to air when the show returns after its Christmas break.

The “Warehouse 13” actress will play Rachel Jacobs, an internal affairs agent who begins investigating Jim Powell (Michael Chiklis) after reports of a rogue cop begin to surface.

In the last few episodes of “Warehouse 13,” Myka left the warehouse, but is expected to return in some shape or form in the third season.

Since making waves on “Warehouse 13,” Kelly has made several notable guest appearances in various television series, including stints on “CSI: Miami,” “Castle” and “Supernatural.”

Former “The Dead Zone” leading man Anthony Michael Hall also will make an appearance in the series. However very little is known about his character with producers only hinting that he is “a force to be reckoned with.”

There is still some question on whether “No Ordinary Family” will be around next season. The show is averaging a 4.9 rating/8 share in Fast National overnight ratings from The Nielsen Co. That’s 9 percent lower than what ABC did in that slot the year before.

“No Ordinary Family” aired two episodes an hour later at the end of November, beginning of December. However, with no original programming lead-in, the show fell to a 3.7/6 average, behind programming from both Fox and NBC those weeks.

“No Ordinary Detention” airs on Jan. 18.

“No Ordinary Family” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
