Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a big winner at the annual Saturn Awards, as was Star Trek: Voyager.
Buffy took home the award for Best Network Television Series during the Bruce Boxleitner-hosted event June 12. Also winnning a Saturn was James Marsters, who plays Spike on the series, as Best Supporting Actor.
Other genre shows also grabbed Saturns including Robert Patrick who won for Best TV Actor for his role as FBI Agent John Doggett on The X-Files.
Jeri Ryan, of the recently-ended series Star Trek: Voyager, won Best Supporting TV Actress for her role as Seven of Nine while the Sci-Fi Channel’s “Farscape” won for Best Syndicated/.Cable TV Series.
