Demi Moore, who has not had a regular role on television since the very beginning of her career in the early 1980s, is finally making her way back to the medium as a recurring character in the hit Fox series Empire.

Moore, who earned an Emmy nomination in 1997 for the television movie If These Walls Could Talk, will play a “take-charge nurse with a mysterious past,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actress will first pop up in the third season finale, and will continue into the fourth.

She joins a number of major actors who have stopped onto the Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson series, including Taye Diggs, Eva Longoria, and even Moore’s own daughter, Rumer Willis.

Empire continues to dominate the television landscape, with a proposed spin-off reportedly gearing up as well. It’s only major competition in recent months has come from the NBC series This Is Us, which has had a dominant first season with an ensemble cast in multiple timelines.

Moore’s last regular television acting gig came in 1982 and 1983 as Jackie Templeton on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. Not long after, she became part of the vaunted “Brat Pack” of actors from the 1980s that included Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall and Rob Lowe.
