Gotham‘s Valerie Vale is lining up a new gig.
Jamie Chung, a recurring star on both the Fox series as well as ABC’s Once Upon a Time (where she played Mulan), has landed a role on Fox’s upcoming X-Men series pilot. And believe it or not, the series still doesn’t have a name.
Chung, according to JoBlo, will play Blink, a “sardonic and spirited mutant with the power of teleportation.”
Described as a relatively unstable character, (Blink) will still be processing a string of traumatic events when she enters the show in search of a new place to call home.
The character first showed up in Marvel’s Uncanny X-Men in 1994, the creation of Scott Lobdell and Joe Madureira. The last time she showed up on screen was in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, played by Chinese actress Bingbing Fan. The character is killed in the film, but she was part of an alternative future that characters like Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto were trying to stop.
