Hollywood is looking for a little more of that international feel as at least two major productions will set up shop in different countries for key parts of their shoots.
Mission: Impossible, which has a long history of traveling around the world anyway, is taking a close look at different locations in and around Paris. At the same time, Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther is planning a major car chase scene in South Korea.
First, filming is set to begin in the next couple months for Mission: Impossible 6 in and around the French capital, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s not clear what other exotic locations the production might end up, but Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation shot in Morocco, Austria, Malaysia and England, among other places.
Christopher McQuarrie is back as director for the film with star Tom Cruise, looking to follow up on the $700.9 million Rogue Nation did in 2015. That was the best box office performance of any Mission: Impossible movie – when not counting for inflation – as it just edged 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
