The family of the late mother-daughter acting duo Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher paid their respects earlier this month. But now friends and even fans of the two will have an opportunity to seek closure as well for a planned public memorial service in Los Angeles in March.
Son and brother Todd Fisher made the announcement Friday, revealing the service’s location at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with seating on a first-come basis. He later shared the details with the Huffington Post.
“On Saturday, March 25, there will be a public memorial for my mother, Debbie Reynolds, and my sister, Carrie Fisher, at Forest Lawn Cemetery Hollywood Hills at the Freedom Theater. We will be celebrating their lives with friends, family members, and the people who loved them – you.
“The service will begin at 1 p.m., and immediately afterwards, those who want to walk to their final resting place are welcome to do so.”
